OUR LEARNING

Our topic this half term is 'How to be healthy'.  We will exploring different foods that we can eat that will help keep us healthy as well as investigating the how to keep our bodies healthy.  In our daily phonics sessions, we will be exploring different sounds in both the indoor and outdoor environment.  In mathematics, we will be learning about different two dimensional shapes and also practising our counting using objects and number songs.

Our RE topic is, 'Celebrations' and we will be looking at what the Parish family celebrates and how they celebrate.

OUR ROUTINES

Every Monday the children can choose a Library Book to take home. These can be kept for a week and swapped on a regular basis. Children are allowed to have up to two books at one time. On a Tuesday, a new Maths Challenge will be sent home, this should be completed and returned to school by the following Tuesday. Every Wednesday we share 'News' at school. The children each have their own 'News Book'. Please feel free to write about something they have done, encouraging the children to draw or stick a photo in themselves. We also send home key words every week. These are aimed to develop language and extend vocabulary. Please share these with your children and talk about the different pictures. We will aim to bake each week  a group of children and will bake enough goodies for the whole of the class to taste! AM children will go to Eco-land on a Friday and PM children on a Wednesday. Both AM and PM children will have P.E on a Thursday so they will need to have a t-shirt, a pair of shorts/leggings and some suitable footwear to change in to. If you have any questions about our routines please feel free to ask!
