Collective Worship at Home

Collective Worship is a very important part of each school day, giving us all, staff and children, and sometimes parents and the wider Holy Trinity community, an opportunity to come together in prayer. Whilst we are away from school we wanted to make sure our pupils and families still have the opportunity to take part and worship together. The resources below will be updated each week to give some ideas and inspiration for your own worship at home as a family. We hope you enjoy using them. Please do send us and pictures or responses via Class Dojo of your Prayer Focus or any reflections you might complete, we would love to see them...

Worship at Home: 1.6.20

This week we celebrate Pentecost, when the disciples received Jesus’ promised gift of the Holy Spirit, who strengthened them and helped them to be like Jesus. Through the story of a girl who is helped in various tasks, this week’s assembly invites children to consider how the Holy Spirit can help them to be like Jesus too!

The Gospel in this act of worship is taken from John 20:19-23.

Worship at Home: 18.5.20

We are drawing near to the Ascension when Jesus returned to Heaven, and this week we invite children to imagine how the disciples might have felt at losing Jesus again. However, Jesus has reassuring news: He will never leave us, and He has sent a helper to be with us forever.

The Gospel in this act of worship is taken from John 14:15-21.

Worship at Home: 11.5.20

In this week’s Gospel, the disciples were looking for God the Father. Little did they realise that God was standing right in front of them in human form, through the person of Jesus. This assembly helps children to relate to God on a personal level through the person of Jesus Christ.

The Gospel in this act of worship is taken from John 14:1-12.

OneLife Weekly worship: 6th May

Share, reflect, sing and pray during this weeks worship with Dan and Emily, as we reflect upon answering God's call to be a gift to the world.

Worship at Home: 4.5.2020

This week is Vocation Sunday, and the Gospel is Jesus’ teaching about living ‘life to the full’. This assembly shares insights from people with various vocations to inspire children to feel fulfilled in what they do both now and in the future, as well as offering an opportunity to pray for priests and those in the religious life.

The Gospel in this act of worship is taken from John 10:1-10.

OneLife Weekly worship: 29th April

Share, reflect, sing and pray during this weeks worship with Dan and Emily, as we continue to reflect on the story of the road to Emmaus, when two disciples rush to tell others what happened.

Weekly Worship & Song 5

Worship at Home: 27.4.20

In this act of worship, we journey with two disciples to Emmaus and on the way meet the risen Jesus. The Gospel helps us understand how we can meet with Jesus today at Mass, in both the Liturgy of the Word and the Liturgy of the Eucharist.

The Gospel in this act of worship is taken from Luke 24:13-35.

Worship at Home: 20.4.2020

This act of worship invites you to experience what it is like to be baffled by something and then to understand, just like Thomas in the Gospel when he struggled to believe in Jesus’ resurrection because he hadn’t seen with his own eyes.

The Gospel in this act of worship is taken from John 20:19-31.
