EYFS - The Conkers

Welcome to The Conker's class page.

Welcome to 'The Conker's' class page. Mrs Parker is the class teacher and Mrs Smith, Mrs Fraser and Miss Piotrowska are the Teaching Assistants.

Here you can find lots of information about EYFS, as well as keeping up to date with all of the exciting things that we get up to throughout the school year.

During this academic year, we will be communicating a lot more through the use of Class Dojo and sharing lots of the children's wonderful work here too. Please do ensure you have set up your Class Dojo account in order to access this.

If you need to contact us at any time throughout the year, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We can be reached through the messaging feature on your Class Dojo account, via email or in school, by appointment with the school office.

Our Routines

The Conkers

Monday - The children will come home with a new 'Reading for Plesure' book  which they will have chosen with the help of their Year 6 Reading Buddy. This is a book for YOU to read and enjoy to THEM at bedtime. This will need returning to school on a Friday please.

We will also be visiting Eco-Land on a Monday too so please send your child into school with a suitable coat, sun hat/cap and wellies in a carrier bag.

Friday - Is P.E day so please send your child into school WEARING their P.E kit (dark coloured tracksuit bottoms or leggings, a white t-shirt and a red hoodie/sweatshirt or their school jumper or cardigan and wearing trainers or plimsols)

Our Learning

This half term our topic is 'Marvellous Me!' which is a celebration of the uniqueness of each of us.  Each week our 'Everywhere Bear' will bring us an exciting new book in his Dreamtime Suitcase. Our week’s learning will be centered around each book along with activities lead by the children's interests.

Our ‘Come and See’ topics for this half term are 'Myself' - which celebrates the children's own families as well as celebrating belonging to the church family, and 'Welcome' - which explores how it feels to welcome and be welcomed with a focus on Baptism.
