EYFS - The Little Acorns

Welcome to The Little Acorns class page.

Welcome to 'The Little Acorns’ class page. Mrs Booth is our teacher on Mondays, Tuesdays and every other Wednesday morning. Miss Kuczak is our teacher on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Ms Allen, Mrs Poole and Mrs Dempsey are our teaching assistants.

Here you can find lots of information about the Little Acorns, as well as keeping up to date with all of the exciting things that we get up to throughout the school year.

During this academic year, we will be communicating a lot more through the use of Class Dojo. Please do ensure you have set up your Class Dojo account in order to access this.

If you need to contact us at any time throughout the year, please do not hesitate to get in touch. We can be reached through the messaging feature on your Class Dojo account, via email or in school, by appointment with the school office.

Our Routines

Monday – PE day – children will need to come in wearing their PE kits.

Wednesday – Library Book - the children will bring home a library book for you to share at home. This will need bringing back to school every Tuesday.

Friday – ‘Muddy Friday’ - the children will be visiting Eco-Land for the session and will need to come to school wearing old clothes, a suitable coat, sun hat/cap and wellies.

Our Learning

Every Monday our classroom ‘fairies’ will bring us a new book and our week’s learning will revolve around it.

Our learning is child based, which means that we decide what our topics are about! This term we have a really exciting topic. Advent 1 is ‘Marvellous Me’, where we will be learning all about pets, families and things that make us special!

Our ‘Come and See’ topics for the term are ‘Myself' - which celebrates the children's own families as well as celebrating belonging to the church family, and 'Welcome' - which explores how it feels to welcome and be welcomed with a focus on Baptism.
