Mrs Booth is our teacher and Miss Allen, Miss O’Shea and Mrs Tapu are our teaching assistants. Miss Grimwood teaches us on a Tuesday afternoon.
Here you can find lots of information about the Little Acorns, as well as keeping up to date with all of the exciting things that we get up to throughout the school year.

Our Routines
Mondays – PE session in the afternoon – the children will need to come in wearing their PE kits with any earrings removed.
We have snack time during both the morning and afternoon session where the children sit at a table with an adult and are offered a piece of fruit and either milk or water to drink.
Our Learning
Our classroom bear, Oakley the acorn, will deliver us a new book either weekly or fortnightly and the majority of our learning will revolve around it.
This term our topic is called ‘Marvellous Me’. In this topic we will be talking about all the things that make us ‘marvellous’ and how we are all different but all special. We will also be exploring our families and learning about the different countries that are important to us.
We follow the Little Wandle Phonics programme and have a Phonics session every morning where we learn a new rhyme. As part of this we also join in with activities including listening to and identifying different sounds, clapping the number of syllables in words, finding words that rhyme and spotting those that begin with the same sound.
We have a weekly RE lesson as well as a class Celebration of the Word on a Monday where we introduce the word of the week, share a story from the Bible and join together in saying special prayers to God.
